TROPHY PRESENTATION - 2010/11 SEASON
AGM and Luncheon at Byford Trotting Complex - Sunday August 14 2011
Committee and members had a great afternoon at the anual AGM and wind up of the showing season. A beautiful roast lunch was on offer to members after the AGM concluded. The committee then decided to give out this years awards after a selection of yummy cheese cakes had been made available to all guests.
A special mention must go out to 2 horses in particular who made it into our Role of merit. Adina Park Phedora was admitted into the TRUE AMBASSADOR award. This mare made her debute as a foal and has done exceptionally well throughout her career. Bringing home multiple Supremes and Top 5's of the show in hand. A couple of her major wins to date are Supreme All Breed Harness exhibit in 2010 against open company. Jeda went out to win this event in a spider. Another of her major achievements was Supreme of Supreme led exhibit, Supreme ridden Breed and Supreme Ridden Hack all at the Wanneroo Breed show in Septemeber 2010. It was brought to the committee's attention that this mare had well and truely met the point critera and it was decided that Jeda would be inducted as a True Ambassadore for the breed following in her sire's shoes.
Another horse was added to our GOLD ROLE OF MERIT, Admiral's Abernethy. This little gelding had a great career. He won multiple Champion led gelding awards at our State and Royal show but his main forte was always Harness. Abe went on to win the night of the stars one year against open company horses including warmbloods, arabs, u name it but the little standardbred out moved them all. It was evident that Abe would be inducted to the GOLD role of merit.
