COLLIE AG SHOW - 21st November 2015
Tracey Cosham and Royal Pride contested the Ridden Unofficial ring with strong results throughout that would see this combination doing the breed extremely proud when awarded Supreme Unofficial Ridden. They also continued down the path of the ridden breed ring and ridden Standardbred ridden classes to fulfill a pretty hectic day. Likewise Jess O’Meagher and Colonial Salute also had very good results in the Open Breed Ridden ring when awarded first in a number of classes throughout to qualify for the Champion Ridden Breed section.

AP Burlesque’s expressive movement saw her taking the Supreme Standardbred award. This mare once again impressed all three judges in the Supreme Of Supreme when awarded Top Five Led of Exhibit of the Show and being placed R/up on points to the eventual winner.

BALDIVIS PRE-ROYAL BREED SHOW

20th September 2015
It was a chilly start to the day but by the time our classes commenced the sun was shining and had the horse’s coats gleaming.
The mare big black imposing mare AP Burlesque today was awarded Supreme Standardbred with the judge commenting she had lovely attributes essential for her breed and as a breeding prospect with outstanding movement and conformation. These thoughts were well received in the Supreme of Supreme judging with all five judges unanimously selecting her for the Supreme Of Supreme Led Horse of the Show.
A wonderful feat considering she is only five months off the track and attending only her fourth show.

Two members took up the opportunity to gain some solid workouts when competing in various classes in the unofficial ring at Magenup recently with
outstanding results.
Tracey Cosham and Royal Pride looked picture perfect and deservingly won their rider age group before executing a faultless workout to take Champion Rider of the ring. Sexy Beast and Kristie Morrone started the day a little scratchy but once the “Sexy” one overcame the fear of the Alpacas on the adjoining fence line he found his “mojo” and improved steadily throughout the classes. Both horses continued to work well and were rewarded with wins and placings in most classes making them eligible for Champion honors. Junior rider Ally Patterson “shared” Royal Pride throughout the day and Tracey rewarded the young rider with the opportunity to take the mount in the Champion workout. This diminutive youngster has all the aplomb of a top liner and had Royal Pride executing some beautiful work. The association will be privileged having this junior on our members list for the coming season.
Kristie Morrone was more than happy with her horse’s performances before entering the Champion ring but was over whelmed when he produced his best work of the day with lovely soft even work and spot on transitions. This did not go unnoticed by the judges and was called forward for Champion Ridden Hack.
Well done to both girls on their professionalism, presentation and condition of their horses as many people noted what really nice horses they were in and out of the ring. This is yet again, another outstanding promotion for the breed.

OFF THE TRACK SHOWMAN COMPETITION
Macka "Prince Matao" and Hannah Griffith attended the Off The Track Showman Day where they competed in the 80cm/Prelim 1.3 class. The day consisted of a dressage test, an inhand workout and a showjump round. Macka produced a lovely dressage test giving the duo the second highest score for their class. They then went on to the inhand phase where they had the highest ranking score for the class and of the whole competition with a score of 48.5 out of 50!! Lastly we had a nice clear showjump round which was slightly fast but we still ranked highly. With 11 of us in the class only 2 were standardbreds, and the rest a quality bunch of thoroughbreds. I didnt keep track of the results throughout the day so I was extremely excited when we were announced the winners of our class!!

Congratulations to Hannah & Macca on a fantastic effort and promoting the versatlilty of the breed!
